Dr. John Hettiarachchi appeared this morning on WCNC’s Charlotte Today to discuss issues that affect women’s pelvic health. From restoring intimacy for many women to improving symptoms of vaginal atrophy, Dr. Hettiarachchi explained how treatments offered by the Charlotte Center for Pelvic Health have improved the lives of hundreds of women. Dr. Hettiarachi also discussed a cutting-edge treatment, Emsella, that has proven to improve urinary incontinence. As a completely non-invasive treatment, the Emsella treatment is received by sitting, fully clothed, in an ergonomic chair that uses electromagnetic technology to penetrate the targeted tissues of the pelvic floor, which stimulates pelvic muscles to build muscle strength, which in turn restores the support for the pelvic organs. It has proven to improve stress urinary incontinence by 95% in as few as three weeks.
